Stop Wishing and Start Doing: How to Stand Out in a World of Social Media Posers and Wannabes

In today's world, social media has become an integral part of our lives. Everyone is on it, scrolling through posts, watching videos, and trying to keep up with the latest trends. We see people living their best lives, traveling the world, securing the bag, and looking like supermodels. It's easy to get caught up in the hype, to want what they have, to be like them. But here's the truth - NOT ALL OF THEM ARE LIVING THAT LIFE. Very few people are willing to put in the hard work. They want the success, the fame, the glamour, but they do not want to put in the hours of hard work, the tears, the sweat, and the sacrifices that it takes to get there.

Here is how you Stop Wishing and Start Doing (The Mental Work)

  1. Pull out a few sheets of paper and begin writing down all the things you hate about yourself. Once you are finish burn it. This is getting rid of the old you. Never go back to thinking those negative thoughts of yourself.

  2. Get you a pretty journal and write out 10 things you are grateful for. Start off by saying, "I'm happy and grateful now that I am..." It can be anything. It can be for things you have not received yet.

  3. Act like you are that person or have the things you asked for even though you do not have it. This is where your imagination comes in.

  4. When you begin to doubt yourself, I want you to say, "I know like I know that it is on its way." The doubt will come but you must smile and keep repeating it and know that it is on its way. You must have F-A-I-T-H.

  5. You must talk positive things to yourself every day and all day long. Any simple thing can trigger you back to thinking negatively again. Trust me.

  6. Change the things you say LIKE. . . I can't never keep money, I am broke, I cannot afford that, money doesn’t grow on trees, life is hard, all I ever get in the mail are bills, etc. All of those are negative thoughts. THOSE NEGATIVE THOUGHTS PUSHES AWAY THE THINGS YOU WANT.

Here is how you Stop Wishing and Start Doing (The Physical Work)

  1. Decide what you want.

  2. Research how to get it. Do you need to go to school, can I get a certificate, etc.

  3. Set goals to achieve it.

  4. Talk to others that have the life you want.

  5. Stay focused and discipline until you receive your goal.

  6. KEEP WORKING UNTIL YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT.

Remember, success is not an overnight thing. It takes time, effort, and consistency. It's about putting in the hours, learning from your mistakes, and never giving up. So, if you want to stand out in a world full of noise, be willing to be different, to work hard, and to never stop learning. This is how you Stop Wishing and Start Doing.

In conclusion, it's easy to get caught up in the hype of social media, but it's important to remember that success is not just about what you see on the surface. It's about what happens behind the scenes, the hard work, the dedication, and the perseverance. So, be honest with yourself, choose the type of person you want to be, and be willing to make the necessary changes in yourself to get there. And remember, success is not a destination, it's a journey.
