How to Get Organized and Stay Organized

Being organized is placing things in an order where you can always find them. It is also compartmentalizing stuff so that you stay calm.

Being organized is not about putting everything that was in plain few hidden from others as well as yourself. Being organized is being free and relieved that there is no clutter. You can say that I decided to relieve stress. I will give you three steps to help you get organized and stay that way.


Be decisive.

Your ability to get and stay organized is directly related to your ability to make decisions! The clutter on your desk results from a decision you have yet to make. So, with that being said, decide today that those letters on your desk will be dealt with.


Give everything a place.

Placing things in designated areas all the time will help get you organized. Make a VIP spot for your items; you can even label them.


Stop being lazy

It’s our nature to be lazy, so we have to do things that would be easier. So come up with a filing system that would benefit everyone using it: Visible, Obvious, and Easy (VEO is Spanish for “I see”).
